ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Dutch and Aruban investigators on Saturday went to the house of two brothers who were one-time suspects in the disappearance of U.S. teenager Natalee Holloway, the Aruban prosecutors' office said.
The investigators conducted what they termed an "inspection" of the property where Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe live with their parents, according to Vivian van der Biezen, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutors' office.
A statement from the Aruban prosecutor's office said: "An inspection is a coercive measure aimed at observing or analyzing a specific place or circumstances under which a criminal offense may have been committed, or to establish facts related to a criminal case."
The Kalpoe brothers were in the family's home in Hooiberg, east of the Dutch Caribbean island's capital of Oranjestad, when investigators arrived Saturday morning. The siblings objected to the action and had to be escorted from the property by police officers, she said.
"The brothers were not arrested," van der Biezen told The Associated Press, adding that the inspection lasted for about an hour. She could not say what investigators were looking for.
Nothing was seized from the home, according to the statement, and no further details were disclosed.
The inspection of the Kalpoe home came more than two weeks after investigators from the Netherlands dug up earth for two days outside the home of former suspect Joran van der Sloot, reviving a case that had seemed to grow cold since the U.S. teen vanished during a school trip to Aruba about two years ago.
Paulus van der Sloot, Joran's father, told a Dutch television program that investigators seized diary notes and letters from him and his wife, as well as a personal computer that was returned later. He felt his privacy had been invaded.
Holloway, an 18-year-old from Mountain Brook, Alabama, vanished in the early hours of May 30, 2005, the last day of a five-day vacation to celebrate her high school graduation with 124 other students.
She was seen leaving a bar with Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers. The brothers were jailed and later released after a judge ruled there was not enough evidence to hold them.
Van der Sloot, a Dutch citizen who has been attending college in the Netherlands, was also jailed and released. He has said he left Holloway alone on a beach after they kissed and he did not harm her.
At least 10 people have been arrested and released without charges. Hundreds more have been questioned.
The Dutch marines, the local coast guard, the FBI, hundreds of volunteers and others have scoured the island's dunes, beaches and trash dumps for Holloway. Scuba divers and sonar-equipped coast guard ships have also examined the seabed in the unsolved disappearance.

Natalee Holloway died from cardiac arrest caused by an accidental drug overdose, a source has told The O'Reilly Factor.
"The Factor has learned from sources we have to protect that Natalee Holloway, the 18-year-old Alabama woman who disappeared two years ago in Aruba, died from cardiac arrest brought on by an overdose of cocaine," Bill O'Reilly said on his Thursday program.
The theory offered by the source, a top law enforcement official, could not be confirmed independently because Holloway's body has not been found.

Holloway was vacationing with friends on the Caribbean resort island when she disappeared the night of May 30, 2005.
She was last seen getting into a car with Deepak and Satish Kalpoe and Joran van der Sloot. They were arrested but later released.
The three have maintained that they were not involved in her disappearance.

Unless that official is van der Sloot I don't think there is any way they can say that w/o a body! _________________ Raising children is a lot like being

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- "Dr. Phil" can have access to documents about two brothers who were once suspected in the case of an Alabama teenager who vanished while on vacation in Aruba, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Dr. Phil McGraw has been sued by two brothers once were suspects in the Natalee Holloway case.
The documents were sought as part of the talk show's defense against the brothers who sued last year, claiming defamation, fraud and invasion of privacy.
Deepak and Satish Kalpoe claim the "Dr. Phil" show altered portions of a secretly recorded conversation between Deepak Kalpoe and a private investigator to "create false, incriminating, and defamatory statements that the plaintiffs engaged in criminal activity against Natalee Holloway."
The September 15, 2005, episode of the show alleged the brothers gave Holloway a date-rape drug and had group sex with her, the suit contended.
CBS and Dr. Phil McGraw claimed that documents existed in which the Kalpoes acknowledged having sex with the girl -- which they have denied. Attorneys for the defendants sought the documents and also e-mails between the brothers and others regarding the case.
The brothers' attorneys said Aruban authorities had much of the information being sought and that the authorities had refused to release it.
In granting access, Superior Court Judge Edward A. Ferns said the documents "are relevant to the most fundamental issues in this case."
A message seeking comment on the decision was left at the office of attorneys for the brothers. It was not immediately returned Wednesday.
A call to an attorney for McGraw also was not immediately returned.
Holloway, a high school student, was 18 when she vanished on May 30, 2005, during a trip to the Caribbean resort island. The Kalpoes were arrested in connection with her disappearance but were later released and have not been charged with a crime.
Also Wednesday, the judge denied a motion to dismiss the estate of a private investigator from the lawsuit.
Jamie Skeeters, who died on January 24, secretly videotaped the interview with Deepak Kalpoe that was used on the "Dr. Phil" segment, the lawsuit contended.
In June, another Los Angeles judge dismissed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the Kalpoes by Holloway's parents. The judge ruled that the case has no California connection and the courts lacked jurisdiction over the brothers.

PALM BEACH, Aruba (CNN) -- Investigators in Aruba searching for missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway began draining a pond Tuesday night.
The pond is near the beach where two brothers told police they dropped off Holloway and a judge's son early May 30, the day she disappeared.
Searchlights guided firefighters as they began pumping at least 3,600 gallons of water a minute, a rate that would drain about 2 inches an hour, a spokesman at the scene said.
The task began at 9 p.m. and was expected to take about 15 hours, the spokesman said.
Two law enforcement sources close to the investigation told CNN a local gardener gave them information about the pond that made them want to search it for the teen's body.
The sources would not say what the gardener's connection is to the pond or what that information he has.
Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and his brother, Satish, 18, are still considered suspects in Holloway's disappearance, despite being released from jail.
They told police that after leaving a nightclub they drove Holloway, 18, and Joran van der Sloot, 17, to the beach north of the Marriott Hotel and left them there.
All three were taken into custody June 9, but the two brothers were released July 4.
Van der Sloot, the son of an Aruban judge who at one point also was briefly detained, remains in jail. No one has been charged in connection with the girl's disappearance.
Holloway, 18, was on a post-graduation class trip to Aruba with classmates from the Birmingham, Alabama, suburb of Mountain Brook when she disappeared.
According to a sworn statement to authorities over the weekend, the gardener claimed to have seen a car belonging to the Kalpoe brothers parked near an adjacent racket club about 2:30 that morning, the sources said.
In his statement, the gardener said he recognized the Kalpoe brothers and Van der Sloot sitting in the darkened car.
The pond and racket club are about a quarter-mile from the hotel.
Van der Sloot's mother has said her son told her he was on the beach with Holloway but left without her because she wanted to stay.
On Monday, Holloway's mother announced a reward of $1 million for her safe return.

| Unless this is a different pond, I thought they searched that. It seems like they started to drain it and then only went so far maybe. |
